Ronald A. Branch

Ron Branch is the founder and CEO of Silverback Business Group, a management consulting and services firm. His clients are small to mid-size companies looking to build for dramatic growth.

Mr. Branch was Senior Vice President at Oracle Corporation until 1999. His responsibility was United States Major Accounts, a $3 billion division, which included marketing, sales, service, contracting, support and custom development.  When he joined Oracle in 1993, Mr. Branch was named Group Vice President for the Eastern United States. In 1996 when he left the position, the East had become the largest U.S. unit and the best performer. For these accomplishments he was recognized as the 1996 Group VP of the year. 

Prior to Oracle, he worked at IBM for 23 years. As Director of Client Services and Consulting, he was responsible for sales, professional services and consulting for the tri-state Philadelphia area. Prior to this assignment he was Director of Software and Services in San Francisco where he led the effort to accelerate IBM’s growth in the services business. He was appointed to the Chairman’s task force on Quality and Business Simplification in 1987, where he worked with IBM’s largest customers to simplify and improve global client service.

In 1985, Mr. Branch was named Branch Manager in Houston, Texas where he was responsible for NASA Johnson Space Center. He was named Manager of Finance Industry in 1981 where he was responsible for banking products business unit. In 1980 he was promoted to Administrative Assistant to the DP Division President in White Plains, New York. Earlier in his IBM career, he was certified as a software developer, systems engineer and subsequently named IBM’s Top Salesman.

Throughout his career, Ron has been recognized for his record of success in orchestrating the turnaround of failing businesses.     

He continues to serve on the Advisory board for Recruiting Standard and MobileSecure.

Mr. Branch was born in Philadelphia, Pa. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck N.J.
